ASTM A285 Boiler STEEL plate 
Commercial quality carbon steel plate and S355JR plate is a generally flat plate of a thickness of 4.5mm or thicker. Plates in the “as-rolled” (S355JA + AR) condition have gone through a rolling process and are then cooled in static air.
Product applications for this material include cutting and profiling in the engineering industry. The S355 grade’s intended use is for structural purposes. Plates can be bolted, riveted and welded in a full range of structural and fabricated items. These items include bridges, box girders, cranes and general structural projects.

The ASTM A285 specification is the Standard Specification for Pressure Vessel Plates, Carbon Steel, Low- and Intermediate-Tensile Strength intended for fusion-welded pressure vessels.
