General
316 Grade Stainless Steel Equal Angle profile is a bent right angle shaped bar used in fabrication and construction applications for making frames or racks. Sometimes referred to a "L" angle or "L" Bars due to the profile looking like the letter L. 316 Grade Stainless Steel Equal Angle bars are commonly used in high corrosion or marine environments. The term equal refers to the sides of the right angle (called "legs") that are equal in length.
Characteristics
The majority of 316 Grade Stainless Steel equal angle bars will be hot rolled mill finish, this is a relatively low tolerance coarse finish bar with a dull sometimes dimpled finish. Can be used as a substitute for Mild Steel Equal Angle, but with vastly improved corrosion protection performance.
